A review of Junior Olympics - From Grandmaster Keller.

The 2010 Junior Olympics are over and the team did outstanding.   For over half the team, this was their first time at such a prestigious event and their first time having to overcome so many unpredictable obstacles.   They set out to perform with the best in the United States and some even became a 2010 National Junior Olympic Champion.  This year's school members that earned first place and claimed such a memorable and honorable title are Chris Lindgren (Junior 3rd Dan male forms champion), Kylie Gordon (Junior black belt female breaking champion), Marcus Freeman (14-15 red belt male bantam-feather sparring champion), and Gabby Hindman (10-13 yellow belt female weapon champion).   Additional medalist and places are: Gabby Hindman – 2nd place (10-13 yellow belt female breaking), 3rd place (12-13 yellow belt female sparring) and Alexx Williams  – 2nd place (14-17 black belt female sparring)
I’m so very proud to have each and every one of you as team members.  You truly showed how all your hard work and dedication paid off. You made huge strides in confidence and abilities and showed outstanding sportsmanship, courtesy, and respect to the other athletes, referees and coaches. You made the school proud. You made Alaska proud. Each and every parent should feel very proud to have such wonderful and respectful children and teenagers.
Once again thank you for doing your best, thank you Team Coaches Master Krison and Jr. Master Brunke for outstanding coaching and support, thank you Adult Team for supporting your Juniors throughout the week, and thank you parents for your support here and at home.
Tomorrow starts the Senior National Championship. Keep following the website for continued updates.
